We've had Abraham off dairy and wheat for just over a week now and the change in diet has resulted in a whole new child: one with boundless energy, full of smiles and laughs and mischief galore. He lost about half a pound, which I imagine is mostly water weight because he is no longer bloated and swollen. He has a neck and ribs you can almost make out, his fingers no longer look like little sausages and his feet fit in regular shoes. He runs everywhere and is getting into everything; I have to be three times more aware of him now that he's no longer sitting in the middle of the floor crying for hours on end. He's also sleeping better (waking up around 8am with no more moaning in the night) and his ability to focus has increased (he sat in Matthew's lap and listened to an entire story last night). With all the changes, I hardly recognize my little guy!
He got his blood drawn for some tests to help us figure out exactly what to permanently cut from the menu. We should have the results back in a week.

Oh good to figure that out and have a happy boy back. But more work ahead, dietary restrictions for kids can be hard.
That must feel SO good to see that there was something that needed to be fixed, and you pretty much figured it out. It is so hard to figure things out when they are so little . . . and must feel so triumphant when you do!
