I took Abraham to our pediatrician's office yesterday and the doctor said that other than the redness and swelling, he looks perfectly healthy. All the labs and tests came back normal and there's no indication that he's in any particular pain. Matthew and I were thinking perhaps he was having an allergic reaction to something, but the doctor said his eyes, nose, and mouth would be affected if that were the case and they all look just fine. She thinks his immune system is reacting in an unusual way to some little virus. It's not common, but not unheard of. She wrote a prescription for some steroids if the swelling doesn't decrease in the next couple of days and told us to call back if the medicine doesn't help.
For Family Night yesterday, Matthew was teaching a lesson about how to be nice to others. He asked Hyrum if we should hit Abraham in the head (hoping to imply that was not a nice thing to do) and Hyrum's response was an enthusiastic "Yeah! Let's do it!" as he quickly sat up and looked around for his brother.

Gee...sounds like our house!!
Scary night in the ER! Glad he's ok though. You just never know with these kids!
There is just nothing like the relief you feel when you hear your little one is okay. Glad things are looking okay!
