We are all fairly well recovered around here.
Abraham has been grump-o-matic the past several days and I thought perhaps he had another ear infection, but I'm pretty sure it's just teeth. He tripped and fell on the driveway yesterday and while expressing his frustration with a big open mouthed cry I noticed a molar just beginning to poke out. I suppose pushing teeth through solid gums is grumpy work and I'm trying to be as patient as possible, but I honestly wonder which one of us will be happier when the whole process is over. When he's not pitching a fit, Abraham is hungry. The child would eat all day long if I could somehow manage a never ending supply of bananas. He also likes sandwiches, peas, and pasta, and drinks water like a camel. On a wholly unrelated note, he's started randomly taking his pants off. It's too bad it's winter because I think he's the kind of guy that wouldn't mind running around naked all day.
Hyrum also seems to have something of an appetite again. Today he made himself two peanut butter sandwiches (in addition to the one I made him) and helped himself to a pack of fruit snacks (that apparently weren't very well hidden). He also ate half of the burrito I made for myself and then proceeded to beg me for pancakes. Let's hope he's on the verge of a growth spurt. Other than eating and incessantly asking to play outside, Hyrum spends his time soaking up every bit of information around him. He found several triangles and a square whilst on our walk this morning and informed me the other day that a tornado was coming and that "Daddy needs to stop the wind." He has started waking up around 2am screaming. I think he must be having nightmares or something because he is too afraid to get out of bed and turn the light on himself. So, I end up crawling out of bed to turn on his light, and he proceeds to play for an hour before going back to sleep. The other night he kept yelling at Doctor Who and Iron Man, telling them they needed to be quiet because "Mommy is trying to sleep."
Matthew and I are well enough. He's been working hard at school, and then coming home to work hard in the home. He built a containment device for his loose wood, as well as a work bench. After another brief stint outside, the car is now back in the garage. Hooray! I'm just trying to catch up after a week's worth of neglected cleaning. I feel fairly on top of things though and if the blasted headache I've had for the past couple days would just go away, I think I'd consider myself quite well.

You let your boy make his own PB sandwich?! You are a brave lady. Bravo! I still can't let Katelyn do that on her own. Someday...when I'm less OCD...
You are such a good mom. And such a good person. I love you. The end.
