Despite diaper changes, late night snacks, and fruitless attempts at snuggling, Abraham screamed (not whimpered, not cried, but screamed) until past midnight. He eventually fell asleep, but was at it again by 6am. He went down for a nap before Matthew left for school at 8am, but that only lasted maybe 45 minutes and he was back to protesting his existence, albeit a little less vehemently. He whined the entire two hours of my Relief Society committee meeting (despite the fact we were in the church gym with 11 other children and several buckets of toys), fussed his way through lunch, and still acted displeased when I put him down for a nap at 12:30. It's 2:20pm and both boys are already up. How is that child functioning?!? I, for one, am not nearly as eager to be awake and would gladly take his place in the quiet confines of a warm bed.
