Sunday was the ward Christmas program. Abraham played Hark the Harold Angel as a piano solo and did about as well as his efforts merrited. We had a quick dinner, went to sing to and visit with the Dotson's for half an hour, then went down to the stake center for Matthew to teach the youth how to network as part of the life skills class for Juniors and Seniors. Afterwards we caroled to a few families down in the southern part of the stake, which was really fun.
I donated platelets and plasma on Monday, which I did not enjoy and which made me feel woozy and a bit nauseous the rest of the day. I think in the future I'll stick to regular old whole blood donations.
Hyrum opted to stay home from the last day of school on Tuesday and spent most of the day with the Jolley's, who also chose to stay home. Abraham and Mercy enjoyed the dances and end of semester parties and we were all happy to start our winter break when they got home. We had planned on hanging out with the Brown's and the Brown's on Wednesday, but Abraham spent most of the day vomiting and Mercy was very sleepy and thus set the tone for our holiday season.
I managed to make the tamales on Friday (while watching Muppets Christmas Carol), but fell ill that evening. Abraham and I both managed to catch some new virus and were both really sick all day Saturday and missed Jeb's Christmas eve party. Matthew went with Hyrum and Mercy though, and they had fun. Hyrum placed second in the shooting contest. We watched a couple episodes of Warehouse 13 then sent the kids to bed so we could stuff stockings and assemble Mercy's bookshelves.
