Hyrum was sick on Sunday, so Matthew stayed home with him. After church we opened Mice and Mystics, a board game Matthew has been watching for and wanting to play as a family for years. In the evening we ate a whole pan of lemon bars and watched the First Presidency Christmas devotional.
Hyrum stayed home sick on Monday, but finally on Tuesday everyone in the family was well enough to go to work and school. I spent the week preparing Christmas cards and neighbor gifts, and also made a baby blanket for my ministering companion, which I guess I didn't take a picture of.
We started caroling/delivering our neighbor gifts on Wednesday. This year we sang Silver Bells, with a slight lyric change (glockenspiels) and a surprise bell kit performance by Abraham during the chorus. People seemed to really enjoy our little song and it brought us joy to go around to all our friends.
The youth had a white elephant gift exchange on Thursday and Abraham came home with a pair of way too big pajama pants.
Matthew and I spent a few hours on Friday running some errands and delivering gifts to several friends on the other side of town. In the early evening, Hyrum and I went to see one of my seminary students perform in her school choir, then in the later evening I went to Ashley's annual gift exchange. Highlights from Saturday include shoe shopping for Hyrum, Luci's cheer competition, and the ward Christmas party, where Matthew reprised his role as Santa.
