We drove out to Grants after church on Sunday and spent Independence day at the farm.
Highlights include firecrackers, delicious Thai food, the annual talent show, and quite a bit more rain than is typical. Also of note, Abraham finally earned Papo's approval to drive the golf carts by himself.
The real highlight was getting to participate in the local town parade. The kids got to ride in the horse drawn carts and we threw out candy and beaded necklaces to the crowd. It was really fun!
Matthew needed to work the next morning and I hadn't really prepared for our Utah trip at all, so we needed to head back to Albuquerque, but the Anderson's offered to keep the boys overnight and said we could collect them on our way out the next day. It was a win win scenario for everyone, and we are always so grateful for the love and generosity we feel every time we visit the farm.
