Matthew and I spoke in the young single adults ward on Sunday. Naomi took the kids to our ward, where Abraham passed the sacrament for the first time. Matthew got us all hooked on Duolingo, and Grandma started reading Journey from Peppermint Street outloud to the kids.
The kids had school off again on Monday, but it was a scheduled holiday that we were anticipating. In the morning we went over to the school and played four square and tag on the playground. In the afternoon, Karen, Cassie, and Lucas came over to play games, then Beto joined us in the evening for pizza night.
After five days off, the kids went back to school on Tuesday. Naomi and I went out with Cassie and Karen to return/exchange some of the clothes she got from the baby shower. Once the kids got home there was a bit more board game playing and Grandma was able to finish reading her book to them.
Grandma left on Wednesday morning. We were so happy to have her here and sad to see her go!
Matthew found out on Friday mid-morning that he tested positive for Covid. He's had pretty much all of the symptoms and hasn't been doing great. I slept most of the day on Friday, but we're not sure if that was a side effect of the booster shot I got the day before, or actual Covid. Either way, we canceled all our plans (stake youth activity on Friday night and High Council lunch today) and have just been laying low.
