Kakarot the Gecko

Beto was on a job a couple days ago, and the owners had left their pet gecko in the house. All people and animals need to be out of the house for him to do a fog job, so he called the owners about their lizard. They said he could just kill it, which he wasn't about to do, so he brought it home in a cardboard box. He and Cassie were going to take it to a lizard preserve, but we asked if we could adopt it instead. We had an aquarium and rocks, so were already halfway to providing a reasonably comfortable home. Matthew and Hyrum went to Walmart to acquire food, a heat source, and a water dish. The store was out of lizard food and had no lamps or under cage warmers, but they were able to get a small water dish. I went to Petsmart the next day and was able to get a warming pad and a bag of calcium coated crickets. We haven't seen him eat yet, but we're assuming it has. He drank a lot though, and seems to like hiding under the rock where the warmer is, so we think maybe he's been cold and dehydrated. It's fun looking in on the little guy, and he seems like very little work, so I think it's the perfect pet to acquire, especially during this weird quarantine/homeschooling time.
