Hyrum and Kaden are the only ten year old boys in the ward and both are working to earn their Webelos and Arrow of Light before the Church stops participating in scouts at the end of the year. There's been a leadership turnover during the summer, so Kaden's mom and I have taken it upon ourselves to help those interested in fulfilling as many requirements as possible over the summer. Today was my turn to host and we worked on several civic duty requirements. I arranged for a Judge who's in the ward to come talk to the boys about things like rule of law and his role in the community. After he left, we worked on some Duty to God requirements. It was a very productive morning.
In the afternoon, I helped Mercy make an apron to wear to the stake Pioneer Day activity that we went to this evening.
