After karate and the baptism of a girl in Abraham's primary class, we headed out to our Pajarito land and spent a couple hours exploring and shooting. After Matthew zeroed his rifle for an upcoming hunt, we walked the perimeter of our property. The boys found some cow bones which they thought was awesome, and Mercy collected some pretty purple flowers.
Dad then helped each of the kids shoot the Ruger 10-22. I shot several rounds on the .22 as well, and the boys obliterated a squirrel target with their BB guns. It was really great to be outdoors with the family and no other distractions.
We're guessing the kids really loved shooting because as soon as we got home, all three edited their Christmas lists to include guns of their own.
