I was able to join Mercy and her kindergarten class at McCall's Pumpkin Patch this morning. It was out in Moriarty, almost an hour East of Albuquerque. It has been rainy and cold lately, but today was perfectly lovely and we had a fun time riding on the tractor and picking out pumpkins. There are only 11 kids in Mercy's class, but there's one child who is wild enough to count for about 10, so it was good that I was there to help.
This evening was the ward Fall Festival. Dinner was a pie potluck (both savory and sweet), then there were games and activities for the kids, followed by a trunk or treat. It was definitely the best Halloween party put on since we've lived here. Mercy and I were bats, Abraham was Greg from the book Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Hyrum was a ninja, and Matthew was, as usual, a generic medieval guy.
