This December was like most in the past and can easily be separated into two very distinct parts: pre-vacation and vacation. The first half of the month was spent finishing school projects, attending parties and ward activities, and generally preparing for Christmas. A particularly notable event was the visit to our ward by Elder Renlund.
The kids last day of school for the year was December 15 and they've been playing, relaxing, and enjoying every second of vacation since. There's been lot's of experimental baking, crafting, building, painting, and other shenanigans along those lines. There's been very little piano playing, bathing, or changing out of pajamas. The first week of vacation we were very social and had play dates nearly every day. Since Christmas eve though, we only left the house twice: once to go to Walmart for a few groceries and a smaller BB gun for Abraham, and once to have dinner and play games at the Jensen's. It's been a much needed break for everyone. Despite 3/5 of us being some degree of sick, general spirits have been high and we are all enjoying this concentrated time together as a family.
