Little Bit of Life

We were the only ones to show up to play group this morning, which was at a park that I had suggested due to it's proximity to Abraham's school. Despite it's convenient location, however, I think we will avoid it in the future. The playground was littered with garbage and swarming with bees. There was a skate park, which the kids thought was pretty cool, but all the benches surrounding it were sticky and disgusting, and there was a group of teenagers smoking nearby. There's another park on the other side of his school, a neighborhood one rather than a city park, that is much cleaner and even more conveniently situated that I think I'll suggest for next time.

Abraham turned in his first proper homework assignment today. It's pre-school, so they don't actually have any homework, but the kids were asked to make a poster all about themselves to hang in the classroom. Abraham drew the pictures, placed the stickers, and with a little bit of prompting, told me what to write. He was very excited to hand it in to his teacher.
