We arrived with plenty of time to enjoy the beauty and serenity of the LA temple before going in to the sealing.
The ceremony was beautiful. I was a bit weepy, but it filled my heart absolutely to the brim with joy to see one of the best people I've ever known in the House of the Lord being sealed to a good, worthy man. They both looked so happy.
After taking a few pictures, we all proceeded up the street a bit to a very nice Italian restaurant. We were honored to be seated at the same table as the Bride and Groom. The food was good and the company fantastic. It was then that I learned that Ryan and Matthew served in the same mission at the same time. Small, small world. Liz and I, along with two other friends of the couple, snuck off for a few minutes to decorate the getaway car, then followed the happy pair blowing bubbles all the way from the restaurant to the parking garage. They drove off as Mr. and Mrs. Cordner, on their way to honeymoon in Hawaii.
The other two friends of Krysta invited Liz and I to join them on an excursion to the Santa Monica Pier. We hadn't planned on an after wedding outing, so we weren't really dressed for the occasion, but we were kid-less and free to take advantage of such a spur of the moment invitation, so we accepted and followed them to the beach. It was a bit chilly and I had to walk several blocks and up and down the pier in heels, but the view was delightful and it was fun to feel young and fancy free for an evening.
