Our house went on the market today.
We also (finally) got the packing of our home scheduled and could start making departure plans. The goal is to leisurely leave West Lafayette on Saturday morning and drive down to visit Matthew's Grandpa in Tell City. We'll stay there over the Sabbath, then head across country bright and early Monday morning. Hopefully things work out for us to visit the Laura Ingalls Wilder home in Mansfield Missiouri on our way. We intend to arrive in Albuquerque some time Tuesday night. The moving company will come pack our stuff on August 27 then return the next day to load it on the truck. It will stay in storage until we are ready for it.
I'm still not sure that it feels real. I can't quite wrap my head around leaving this place, with the great likelihood of never returning. I feel complete about our time here, but it's the first time I've not felt done with a place. In most of my past experiences, I've been itching to quit or leave or just be finished, but not now. I'm ready, but not anxious. Perhaps that's an indication that we did this stage well.
