Despite it being a shorter month, it feels like it's been February forever. We did have a visit from Grandma J which changed things up a bit, and spent lots of time just hanging out.
The boys (usually) enjoy playing together and come up with some interesting games. One day they were cooking and because of the super hot temperatures, needed to wear their "safety gear" to protect themselves.
Mercy seems to grow and develop new tricks and talents every time I turn around. She continues to work on walking, and has become quite the climber. The other day she pushed a box in the kitchen over to the chest freezer and climbed up, attempting to get as high as possible. She can use pillows as steps to get on the couch and has scaled the entire staircase (giving me a minor heart attack). She is determined and has the ingenuity to require a constant watchful eye. She's also learned to clap her hands and has added ma and ga to her vocabulary.
While Hyrum loves to play outside, no matter the temperature or weather conditions, Abraham is more like his mother and prefers a more moderate environment. Neither of us do well with extreme hot or cold. So while Hyrum begs every day to go out, Abraham has enjoyed wearing his "short pants" and observing the winter conditions from the comfort of the great indoors.
