9:30 pm on a Saturday at Walmart in a college town makes it glaringly obvious that I am a grown up. Several weeks ago, I made a late night run to get some supplies to make 9 am church with two small children a little easier. As I stood in the express lane with my Cheerios and sippy cup, I couldn't help but notice that I was surrounded by groups of young twenty-somethings all with the same three items: boxes of beer, large containers of Cheezits, and a jug or two of blue Hawaiian Punch. I over heard one young man on his cell phone arguing with what I assume was his roommate or frat brother about the amount of the aforementioned items they would need for a party later that evening. I had a hard time imagining young co-ed's primping for a party that hadn't even started yet while I hoped to be asleep within the hour. Oh College days, how I don't miss you...
...most of the time.

Julianne,
I never ate Cheezits or drank Hawaiian Punch in college. As for boxes of beer, my Evergreen friends got kegs of good, imported stuff from a real liquor store. Then again - I went to school in a town that has no Wal-Mart. Only been to Wal-Mart twice in my entire life. Long live Target!
:) sh
This picture brings back some of the best memories from my college years...but after having attended a university other than BYU, I realize that my college experience was very different from the rest of the county/world ;)
