This is the DC14 Telescope Reach, AKA my new best friend. We've been needing a new vacuum for quite a while and we started seriously looking into it a couple months ago. After a hormonal break down this weekend, we finally made the plunge. We finagled a decent deal by price matching a Walmart ad at Sears and purchased this fantastic machine on Saturday evening. Boy does it suck! I'd forgotten what color our carpet really was and how it feels without the extra layer of dust. I'm hoping to be very pleased for a long time with this machine.
After a very long day of running errands, Matthew and I watched Avatar while experimenting with our new tool. We both liked it better than we anticipated. In other news, school started today. Matthew is only taking one class and isn't teaching this semester so hopefully life will be a little less stressful. He's still being "evaluated" by the professor he'd like to work for so research and impressing her will be his main focus for the next couple months. Hyrum is feeling better, though I've had a pretty bad cold the past several days. I wonder if there will ever be a day when the whole family is feeling well. Hijo is learning and using new words all the time, and we are currently working on mastering the fine art of eating at the table without throwing food everywhere. It's been a struggle. The weather has cooled down about 10 degrees which is lovely and has enabled me to function without feeling like I'm boiling from both the inside and outside. I can't believe summer is nearly over! Where did August go?

I love how well the Dyson works! I cleaned house for a family that had one, and I fell in love.
Our vacuum was a wedding gift and works, so I can't complain much, but hope you enjoy it!

I am jealous of your new purchase. You are the third person I know of who bargain shopped for a vacuum in August! Must be the time of year.
