After a week of so much going on, it was absolutely lovely to have a low key relaxing birthday. A dear friend of mine came and took Hyrum for a couple hours in the morning and I was able to do some laundry, have an uninterrupted scripture study, and take a nap. We picked Matthew up from school around noon and went to Sam's Club. He then went to the regular grocery store for me while Hijo and I stayed home and napped (again). Together we folded some laundry, took some pictures, and opened presents. I got a pizza pan, a mini muffin pan, a pastry blender, an egg slicer, an umbrella stroller, and a set of 4 square quilting rulers; all things I'm very excited about. Matthew made me a nice dinner, including this amazing chocolate cake:
I made a couple cakes when I was first pregnant in the attempt to satisfy a craving, but none of them were quite right. This one was all a chocolate cake should be and could give any restaurant dessert a run for its money. After dinner and putting Hyrum to bed, we watched the newest Star Trek movie which I thought was quite good. Throughout the day a number of people called to wish me well and I felt very loved. My favorite part of it all though was spending the day with my sweet little family.
I love these guys so much and feel completely blessed to be a part of their lives. Matthew is especially wonderful and I'm so very much in love with him. He completes me and makes me so happy. I hope to spend many more birthday's with him by my side.
ps I've updated Hyrum's picture and #2's profile.

Oh my gosh, that cake looks amazing! Maybe you guys should come and make me one...hehe. Or I could probably talk my Auntie Naomi to make me one.
I was freaking out with my weight gain this pregnancy. It fortunately has tapered out and I haven't gained any in the last 7 weeks or so. I figure this will be the most I gain in a pregnancy, but it shouldn't be more than 37 pounds, hopefully less but I'm trying to be realistic....FINGERS CROSSED!! Your little belly is looking adorable!!
Happy late birthday! Sounds like a wonderful dinner and a wonderful birthday. Also, I am glad things worked out with the fixing/remodeling.
