An addition to the family

The sisters in the Stake here have created what's called the Corkboard, a google group that poses as a forum for everything from suggestions for a good hair dresser and advice on child care to requests for knitting lessons or to borrow camping gear. It is also frequently used as a place to advertise items for sale/free. On Monday I happened to be the lucky first responder to a post offering a free piano. Tuesday afternoon Matthew and a few friends went and collected it, and we are now the owners of an antique (circa 1910) Packard piano. The thing is something of a beast, weighing in at around 1,000 lbs and is nearly as tall as I am. It's quite beat up and is in need of a good tuning, but for the price I believe we came out on top of this deal.

As a side note, it is a good thing Hyrum has a mom. After a diaper change from dad (which I am not complaining about at all) poor Hijo's onesie was left unbuttoned and his pants put on backwards.
