The boys spent their Monday morning off playing kickball with some church friends at the park. The afternoon was spent doing chores and playing video games. It was just the kind of productive yet relaxing day we all needed. On Tuesday the kids and I all went to the dentist. 3/4 of us got top marks for our oral hygiene. Hyrum was particularly praised for how well he's kept his braces clean as a 13 year old boy. Mercy, on the other hand, did not floss well enough over the past 6 months to stave off a couple of potential cavities in two baby molars, so we had to make another appointment to get those filled.
Wednesday evening was back to school night for the elementary kids, so Mercy showed Dad and I around her classroom and we got to see a robot she made in her enrichment class (which I unfortunately neglected to take a picture of).
After our one day on the lake, we decided to return the inflatable kayak and get a better one that will seat all three kids. It arrived in time for us to take it out on our planned camping/boating trip over the weekend, but unfortunately I started feeling a bit sick Friday afternoon, so we stayed home and watched Thor: Love and Thunder while Hyrum went to a youth dance.
Matthew and I went to the store this morning to get the food for a stake youth swimming party this evening and found Walmart clearing out their large boxes of frozen hamburger patties. With inflation what it is these days, we jumped on the opportunity to get all this meat for 1/3 the regular price!
