When Hyrum was born, we lived in a 400 square foot apartment, which meant the living room, dining room, kitchen, and nursery were all the same room. He had no choice but to sleep through whatever was going on around him. When Abraham was born, however, I had this big house where I could put him down in a separate room and enforce a certain amount of silence during nap time. Hyrum has turned out to be a professional sleeper, and Abraham... not so much. Having learned my lesson, I was determined to raise another good sleeper and so far Mercy is rivaling Hyrum in her ability to sleep through chaos. Now if only she would do a better job sleeping at night when everyone else (Mama) is ready for bed.
