As an extension of Matthew's bread baking craze, he's been absolutely obsessed with making doughnuts. We've tried a couple different recipes with varying results, mostly mediocre at best. These turned out pretty good though. Still not quite Krispy Kreme, but not bad. I think his craving has been adequately satiated for the time being and we can now move on.

We have been cooking everything that uses eggs since our chicken are producing so well now...but I like the donut thing.
My Grandma Evie (biological Grandma Hildebrecht who died when I was 4)was known for her donuts and also her coffee cakes. She often provided the goodies served between worship services at church.
