Last night Hyrum was in quite a "mood". He fussed, then he'd babble to himself and laugh, and then he sat and stared at Matthew for 10 minutes without making a noise. Matthew thought he'd try to make Hijo laugh so he started singing. Matthew would "ooo" or "aahh" a tune, and Hyrumo would sing back to him. He obviously couldn't repeat the tune, but he'd try for the right vowel and usually sang sort of the right length. We've got a little musician on our hands I believe.
This past weekend we went down to Tell City to visit Matthew's Grandpa and some extended family on his dad's side. Boy is it warmer and much more humid down South! I got to meet several people I'd only heard stories about and everyone was super nice. Matthew took Hijo and I down to the Ohio river, and I went with Matthew's aunt across a bridge in to Kentucky to get gas (it was 10 cents cheaper over there). I also got to play Wii for the first time. We played tennis, golf, and bowling, and created Mii's. It was actually a lot of fun and I kind of wish we had one.
Matthew starts his class today, as well as his TA job. We don't expect him to be super busy this summer, but we also thought we'd be here 4-5 years, and it seems the general consensus is more like 6-7 years, so what do we know about getting a PhD in physics!? We're putting an offer in on a house tomorrow. That's pretty exciting (and a little scary). We think we're likely to get a good deal on the place though, and feel like it's the right thing for us to do. More on that later!

Sounds like you are getting adjusted! I'll be excited to hear if things work out with the house!!
Southern Indiana is way humid and way hot. I used to spend some time in Evansville with my most wonderful cousins every summer. Good luck on the house! I am quite fond of owning a home.
