Park City

We went to Park City with Matthew's family August 16-20, and we had such a great time! Matthew's dad was blessed with the opportunity to offer us a room in a large condo right at the base of Deer Valley ski resort. As you can see, we are almost literally a stone's throw away from the lodge. They had concerts nearly every night and we could walk right over and enjoy the show. Or, if we were feeling particularly lazy, we could just sit on our balcony!

We also did some touristy sight seeing. We walked up Main street and poked around the shops. This bear was actually in some realty place, but it makes for a fun family photo. The second one is on the trolley we rode back down Main street. There's only so much walking I can do these days.

We went to the visitor's ward on Sunday (they have a whole Sacrament meeting arranged just for visitors!) then spent the afternoon playing games. Matthew was excited to play Monopoly with his dad and sister, as I am not a fan of the game and won't play with him. I did humor him in a game of Risk that ran into the wee hours of the morning, however, and quite enjoyed myself.

We also did an admirable amount of eating. Here, Matthew is enjoying a snack of celery and spicy Cheetos. Note the root beer float he has ready to wash it down with. He actually got pretty sick off all the junk food our second to last night there, which seems to have somewhat satiated his unbelievable sweet tooth (a bit).

It took me a while to get these pictures up, but we really did have a fantastic time. Thanks Mom and Dad for the much needed and appreciated vacation!

Fun to see pictures. To be able to see you pregnant without having to post "belly" pictures.
