Baby appointment #3

Baby and I had check up number 3 this afternoon. I try to make my appointments for as late in the day as possible so I can just take my lunch break at the end of the day and don't have to use any of my very limited sick/personal leave. This however seems to translate to doctor running very behind and 20 minute visit taking 2 hours. Oh well. With Matthew in Arizona for the next 3 weeks, it's not like I had a whole lot to hurry home to. On a brighter note, baby seems to be growing right on schedule. We are 18 weeks along now, and all looks as it ought. Our wee one's heart rate today was 149 and my belly is measuring exactly as the doctor said it should. I have had a migraine like headache for about three weeks now, and have been a bit more tired than she (the doctor) would like, so we drew some blood to check my thyroid levels. Other than that, not much to report. Our next appointment is in 4 weeks, and I scheduled the first sonogram for the same day, that way Matthew can be there when we find out if we are growing a wee he or a wee she.
