Week in Review

Monday: Laundry, blogging, baking.

Tuesday: Trainer ride, then Mindy tended Mercy while I went to my lady doctor appointment. The actual visit took about 10 minutes, then I waited for over an hour in the lab to get my thyroid levels checked.

Wednesday: Trainer ride, helped Hyrum finish up the week's homework, then all three Jolley boys came over while Mindy went to a doctor's appointment and filled some prescriptions.

Thursday: Mindy watched Mercy while I rode the 23 mile South Loop with Hannah and Ashley. Matthew left work a couple hours early but was only home long enough to change his clothes and pick up the 7-layer dip I made for him and his buddies. He then spent the rest of the afternoon and evening at a trading card store, searching for Pokemon, and playing a fantasy board game with Jeb and some other D&D friends. He got home around midnight.

Friday: Mercy and I went grocery shopping, then I spent several hours doing primary stuff. We just got four new teachers, two of which are converts and have never been through primary, so I needed to put together binders for them and fill them in on how the program works. After dinner the kids and I headed over to the church for a RS get to know you recipe exchange activity. It was fun and we ended up staying longer than I intended, which meant the kids didn't get to bed until after 9:00 pm. Matthew had gone straight from work to Bubonicon, a science fiction and fantasy convention. He and his buddies went to talks, checked out booths, and played Magic late into the night. He got home around midnight.

Saturday: Matthew left for Bubonicon around 9:00 am. I gave the boys haircuts and bathes, then we picked up Sister Dixie and went to Kaden's baptism. After lunch and a pathetic attempt at quiet time, we all went over for a play date at the Jolley's. After dinner I put on a movie for the kids so I could ride my bike. Despite my attempts to get everyone to bed early, there were nightmares and sleep walkers and the house wasn't still and quiet until well past 9:00 pm again. Matthew spent the whole day geeking it up, finishing off his convention experience with a six hour D&D campaign. He got home around Midnight.
