First Day of Pre-K

Abraham started preschool today.

He was up and dressed at 6:30 am. He spent the whole morning chatting excitedly about what he was going to do at school and asking why it was taking so long for us to take him. Finally the time arrived and while he was quiet and uncharacteristically reserved, he was not shy or unwilling to get in line and leave me behind. There were 11 kids in his class, 9 boys and 2 girls. After getting name tags and washing their hands, they lined up and walked off to lunch. He was all smiles when I picked him up three hours later and talked all the way home about his day at school. I asked if he was excited to go back tomorrow and with wide eyes and a tone of thrilled astonishment he replied, "I get to go back tomorrow!?!"
