Dead computer & lots of dirty dishes

Well, it's finally happened...my (somewhat) faithful laptop has died. I'm really hoping it will turn on one more time to get all my files and pictures off of it, but that may or may not be possible. My ibook was a great deal and served me well through school and a couple jobs, but I think it's time to move on to a desk top PC.

We had a lovely weekend, despite our neighbor clogging his drain and sending all kinds of stinky, gross gunk into our kitchen sink. Maintenance fixed and cleaned everything up yesterday, but it was really quite disgusting most of the weekend. To get away from the stuff gurgling up into our sinks, we rode trax downtown on Friday and spent the evening walking around the Gateway Mall (an open air mall built off an old train station). We ended up at the planetarium and Matthew explained to me the difference between Pluto and a planet and why rockets are so much better than the space shuttle. It was fun. We spent all of Saturday morning running errands. We got some great deals on fresh produce, returned some over-priced cables, bought a vacuum and a bunch of gardening supplies, ordered more checks, and got my ring cleaned. We planted our starter seeds (the ones that sit inside for several weeks before being moved to the real garden) and I re-potted St Josephine, my Christmas Cactus.

On Sunday I was able to go to Relief Society for the first time in a month. It had been a while with conference and our nursery duties. It was really nice. We weren't planning on having dinner with Matthew's family, but due to the sink issues and finals coming up, we thought switching this week for next might be beneficial. We had a lovely time. I love weekends that are layed back enough to feel like you actually rested, but productive enough to give you a sense of accomplishment.

In other news, Matthew was honored at a banquet last week as most outstanding Physics Junior (which essentially means he has the best grades in his class). He also placed in an egg drop contest, which is fun. So, two points for my husband! I will also note here that Catwoman is a ridiculous movie and I would not recommend anyone watch it ever.

Ya, we've seen scenes on catwoman on tv and it does look super cheesy. Just an excuse for Halle Berry to squeeze her cute little body into a tight black suit.
How fun to be able to do those young couple w/no children kinds of things...I miss those days sometimes..enjoy them while they last :)
